On October 9th, 2024, the California Secretary of State hosted its inaugural Research Symposium to highlight recent research and data about California’s diverse electorate.
The Symposium was driven by the following questions: What can the State of California do about the five million unregistered eligible voters in CA? Are there still barriers to voter participation that the state can address?
The purpose of the 2024 California Secretary of State Research Symposium was intended to bring researchers together to discuss and present findings on the topics of voter participation, voter engagement, and voter outreach in California elections.
