Overview

The Student Voter Registration was created to ensure every school in California provides eligible students with a meaningful opportunity to register, or pre-register, to vote. The Secretary of State's office contacts schools annually to gather contact information as required by Elections Code and to provide voter registration cards, when requested.

Annual Survey and Order Form

You may submit your school's survey response and order voter registration cards electronically using the following form: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/svr/order-form

Online Voter Registration

Online voter registration can be offered via a hyperlink or QR code posted on the school’s website.

Annual Report

The Secretary of State is required to report to the Legislature each year on student voter registration efforts undertaken by the Agency.
