The Secretary of State conducted a pilot program to develop and test post election risk-limiting audit methods in California. The federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) awarded the Secretary of State $230,000 in new federal grant money to fund audit pilots following elections held in California counties from 2011 through 2013.
