A Judgment Lien Change Form (Form JL3) is used to provide notice of partial or complete release or subordination of a previously filed Notice of Judgment Lien (Form JL1), or to continue the effectiveness of a previously filed Notice of Judgment Lien (Form JL1) for another five-year period. There is no limit to the number of JL3 forms that may be submitted on any one filing, however a continuation only may be filed within the six month period prior to expiration of the previously filed Notice of Judgment Lien (Form JL1) or a previously filed continuation.
This Judgment Lien Change Form must be reproduced in a format prescribed by the Secretary of State’s office, including printing on 8 1/2" x 11," white paper.
Submittals that do not conform to the form specifications will be rejected.
