California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D. Presides Over the California Electoral College

Sacramento, Calif. – Today, California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., presided over the California Electoral College, which certified California’s vote in the November 2024 election for president and vice-president.

“I’m honored to preside over the Electoral College,” noted Secretary Weber. “Voting is about having your voice heard and more than 16 million Californians made their voices heard in the November General Election.”

Pursuant to California Elections Codes Sections 6916 through 6918, the California Secretary of State presides at the meeting of electors.
