California Secretary of State Alex Padilla Statement on Trump and Putin Press Conference
SACRAMENTO – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla issued the following statement on President Trump’s press conference with Vladimir Putin.
“Trump’s shameful performance today undermines elections officials across the country who are working diligently to safeguard our free and fair elections. It is appalling that a President of the United States would side with Vladimir Putin over our national security and intelligence community. With his statements today, Trump has failed in his obligation to defend and protect American democracy. Every American should be outraged.”
