California Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Speak at Assembly Elections Committee in Support of the Voting Modernization Bond Act of 2018
SACRAMENTO - Secretary of State Alex Padilla will testify at the California Assembly Committee on Elections and Redistricting today, April 26, in support of AB668. The bill, authored by Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher (D-San Diego), seeks $450 million to improve California’s voting systems. Specifically, the funding would update aging equipment and also modernize how the state conducts elections to improve the voting experience.
