Secretary of State Alex Padilla Responds to Trump's Criticism of Early Voting
SACRAMENTO – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla released the following statement in response to the president-elect's unsubstantiated criticism of early voting:
"Once again, Donald Trump is undermining the idea that America is stronger when more people vote. His insinuations about early voting are false, blatantly partisan, and destructive. He's embraced a strategy of voter suppression and we must fight it every step of the way."
