Secretary of State Alex Padilla joins with Starbucks for “Vote California – Coffee and Democracy”
LOS ANGELES-Secretary of State Alex Padilla and Starbucks are partnering to promote voter registration at Starbucks locations across California. To launch this partnership, Secretary Padilla is working a shift at the Starbucks located on 12848 Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood tomorrow at 10:00am. He will be working with Starbucks baristas to prepare coffee and serve customers.
Starbucks is partnering with the Secretary of State’s “Democracy at Work” program to promote voter registration to customers and employees. All company-owned Starbucks stores in California will install a “Coffee and Democracy” poster featuring California’s voter registration deadline and a link to the Secretary of State’s online voter registration website—RegisterToVote.ca.gov.
