Lobbying Quarterly Disclosure Reports

**Important New Requirement **

Beginning with the 1st quarter of 2005, lobbying entities (Firms, Employers, Lobbyists and Payment to Influence filers) who file their quarterly reports either electronically or online are no longer required to file paper versions of those reports with the Secretary of State’s Office. (Please note that registration forms must still be filed on paper also.)
Lobbying disclosure statements must be filed every quarter for the two-year lobbying cycle (corresponding to each two-year legislative session).  The four quarters in a year are January 1 through March 31, April 1 through June 30, July 1 through September 30, October 1 through December 31.  The deadline dates for filing these disclosure statements are one month after the ending dates of the quarters.  If the deadline date falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline date becomes the next business day.  The following chart shows which forms must be filed for every lobbying entity.
