15-DAY REPORT OF REGISTRATION PREFACE
This Report of Registration was produced pursuant to the passage of Assembly Bill
1094 (Chapter 899, Statutes of 2000), which amended the 29-day registration deadline
to a 15-day registration deadline. The registration totals contained in this report
are the actual number of registered voters eligible to vote in the November 5, 2002
General Election.
This report was based upon the new General Election 15-day registration totals;
therefore, there are no comparative statistics to offer. Subsequent General Election
15-day close of registration reports will contain such comparisons. This report does
illustrate the variation of registration between the General Election 29-day Report
of Registration totals and the new 15-day Report of Registration totals.
